Marguerite Virginia Casey

Casey Marguerite Virginia Marguerite Virginia Casey died peacefully surrounded by her loving family January 19, 2008 at Ridgewood Manor, two days prior to her 92nd birthday. Marguerite was born January 21, 1916 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Maude and Hatton Teel, her brother William Teel and her beloved husband Maurice Mike Casey. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1934 and attended the University of Toledo. She was employed as secretary for the R.O.T.C. at The University of Toledo from 1963 to 1981. Marguerite devoted her life to raising her four young children when she became a widow at the age of 44. She is best described as a strong, loving mother and grandmother who was always optimistic, never complained, and valued the beautiful things in life. Marguerite is best known as always having a beautiful smile on her face and displaying kindness and loyalty to her friends and her childrens friends. Marguerite is survived by her four children; Patrick Debbie Casey, Kathleen Jim Heer, Colleen Jack Mundstock, and Maureen Dave Fought. Marguerite is also survived by her grandchildren: David Deprospero, Lisa Casey, Brooke Casey, Dena Deprospero, Cori Brown-Lindsay, Kasey Heer-Swade, Michael Casey, Adam Heer, Jessica Fought-Vedra, Erik and Chris Fought and Lauren and Austin Ryan. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren. Mauguerite will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM.
