She would develop strong relationships with all her siblings that would last throughout her life. Raised in a traditional Mexican home Margie would form a dance team with her sisters that instilled a passion for dancing, always one of the first to step onto the dance floor. Raised in the Catholic faith regularly attending mass her devotion to volunteering would blossom creating lifelong memories of helping with fish fries and luncheons. Learning how to cook from her mother, Margie would become a master cook of Menudo, Caldo, Mole, Fideo and many other delicious meals.
A graduate of Waite High School, class of 1956. It would be in high school that Margie would meet the love of her life, Juan Arnoldo Cantu. The story of their love would last 65 years, 62 of them spent in holy matrimony. Having met when Margie had just turned 16 at a Halloween party, where she would win the night’s top prize for best costume. She had often stated that she knew from the very first time they danced together she never wanted to be without him becoming eternal dance partners. Their love would culminate in two children who have continued their legacy of love. Upon graduation Margie would go to further her education to become an LPN spending the next 39 years at Saint Charles Hospital in Oregon, OH.
In her free time she loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was playing Canasta, Lotaria, Scrabble, or the occasional Mahjong. A devoted Jeopardy fan, always happy when she would be able to get at least one correct answer each episode. When Jeopardy was not on Margie would watch Hallmark or QVC, even though she never planned on buying anything. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and doing crosswords.
