Marghretta Peg Smith, age 63 , passed away on November 7th, 2013 at her home in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born on June 13th, 1950 in Athens, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bailey and Elizabeth Wood Biggs. Peg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University and a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology/Human Resource Development from the University of Toledo. She was employed as an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Owens College where she was also an Assessment Facilitator . Academic honors include selection into Pi Lambda Theta, an international Honor and Professional Association. Peg was a member of the Christ Child Society, Junior League, and President of the Ambassadors of the Toledo Museum of Art. She was very active with St. Joseph Parish in Sylvania where she started the World Neighbors Program, was an active member of the PTA and served on the Parish Council. Peg was on the originating committee for the Aurora House. She also coached soccer for Pacesetter and SYSA soccer. Peg lived her life with grace and courage. She was an inspiration to all her family and friends. Peg is survived by her husband, Mike; sons, Zac and Pete; siblings, Rebecca Theodore P. Uritus of Upper Arlington and Dr. William Barbara Biggs of Sylvania; sister-in-law, Judy Smith; nieces and nephews, Scott Jessica Biggs, William Jill Biggs III, Ami Patrick Johnson, Amy Joshua Corna, Matthew Erin Uritus, Marghretta David Zimpfer and Theodore A. Samantha Uritus. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10th from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623 where a prayer service will be held at 7:30pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 11th at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church , 5353 S. Main St., Sylvania, OH 43560. Monsignor Dennis Metzger presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; the Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe St., Toledo, OH 43620 or Christ Child Society, P.O.
