Margarette Bertha Bridenbaugh, 89, of Waterville, Ohio, formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Heartland of Waterville. She was born on March 2, 1927 in Atlanta, Georgia to Jonathon B. and Margarette J. (Bass) Maxcy. On April 20, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio, Margarette married Robert L. Bridenbaugh and together they raised 6 children. Margarette was employed for many years at Johns Manville before retiring in the early 90’s. She was an avid gardener and loved being out in nature. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. Margarette was known for her fantastic cooking and ceramic skills, in which she specialized in Christmas figurines. Margarette is survived by her loving children; James C. (Vicki) Bridenbaugh, Robert L. Bridenbaugh, Jr., William M. Bridenbaugh, Michael J. (Bobette) Bridenbaugh and Margarette “Peggy” Poskarbiewicz; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jonathon and Margarette; husband, Robert; and son, Lawrence E. (Carol) Bridenbaugh. Friends will be received on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (874-3133) where funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20037.
