Margaret L Ziegler

Margaret L. Peg Ziegler age 86 of Bryan, Ohio formerly of Monclova passed away Thursday September 29, 2016 in the Hospice Inpatient Residence, Toledo. She was born March 29, 1930 in Pemberville, Ohio to Edwin and Frieda (Lehman) Bruning. She was employed at LaSalles after high school and also worked at the Farm Bureau. A former member of Zoar Lutheran Church, she was a past Sunday School Teacher. While her children were growing up she was an active member of Monclova PTA and volunteered at the school. Margaret was known for baking her cookies and giving them to family and friends and was known affectionately as the cookie lady. The widow of Melvin Ziegler who died in 2002, she was also preceded in death by her grandson Joshua Carlson. Surviving are her children Alan Ziegler, Teresa Terri (Terry) Harrison, Janet Ziegler, and Sandra Sandie (Todd) Carlson; grandchildren Deanna (Andy) Jordan, Daniel (Kate) Carlson, Stephanie Carlson and Jennifer (Nick) Shamhart; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Shirley (Richard) Johnston. Friends may visit on Monday from 2-8 PM in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
