Margaret M. Shutes

Margaret M. Shute, age 65, passed away Tuesday Feb. 1, 2011 at Ebeid Hospice. The daughter of Bernard and Margaret Forche, she was born April 11, 1945 in Toledo, OH. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1963. Margie liked to roller skate, enjoyed camping and bike riding. She loved her dogs deeply. She volunteered at Riverside Hospital, the consumer union of Lucas County and helped run the drop in center for the Zeph center. She is survived by her sons, Jeff, Brian, and John Rutledge; daughters, Julie Tom Braker; grandchildren, Tiffany Douglas, Jeffrey Rutledge Jr., Colby Braker, Jacob and Jonathan Rutledge; great grandchildren, Emma, Caylee, Ian and expecting twins; siblings, Bill, Bernard Forche, Gwen Eggert, Tom Jim Morse, and Joan Goodell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Shute. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd on Friday from 4-9 PM with a scripture service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
