Margaret L. Schroeder

Margaret L. Peggy Schroeder age 87 formerly of Maumee passed away Friday December 18, 2009. Peggy was born in Crissey, OH on February 11, 1922 to Lewis Kern and Helen L. Burdo Rogers. She owned and operated Ferrells Upholstery for 20 years until her retirement in 1983. Peggy was also employed at the former LaSalles Dept. Store. During WWII, Peggy was a part of Rosie the Riveter during WWII working at Willys Overland Jeep in Toledo. Peggy was past president of Lady Elks, Maumee and Past president of Zonta International, Maumee. She enjoyed playing golf, Bridge, bowling and knitting. Peggy won a blue ribbon at the Lucas County Fair for her knitting and needlework. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kopydlowski of Fenton, MI; grandchildren, Jared Kopydlowski of Fenton and Ryan Angie Kopydlowski of Port Huron, MI. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; parents and brothers, Lewis and Patrick Rogers. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Sunday December 20, 2009 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne St., Maumee with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
