Margaret Peggy Scherting

Margaret Anne Peggy Scherting, age 55, of Waterville, Ohio died peacefully, on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born to James and Dolores McIntosh Halleron on October 10, 1957. Peggy attended Central Catholic High School, where in Her Sophomore year she met her future husband Dave. Peggy and Dave married on June 16th, 1979. Peggy was an amazing Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Peggy lived to be with Dave and her children Andy and Anna, and was the happiest when taking care of all three. Peggy was a living miracle. She suffered from Cystic Fibrosis since birth, and through the years had severe medical issues including diabetes, Kidney transplant and liver failure. Yet through it all, never complained and continue her drive to take care of the family. One of her best friends stated it best, Pegs unending strength, courage, faith, graces and love of life will continue to live through all of us. During Peggys life there were many special people, yet there were two Angels that need to be thanked. Her cousin Margaret Heck McDaniel who donated her Kidney, and Dr. Pierre Vauthy her Cystic Fibrosis Doctor. Peggy is survived by her husband, Dave; son, Andrew; daughter, Anna; mother, Delores; siblings, Deborah David Langell, Rev. James Halleron; and Becky Thomas Szymanski. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her father, James; and sister, Diane. Family and friends may call at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 2 pm until 9 pm with a Scripture service at 7 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
