Margaret Schappert

Margaret Genevieve “Viva” Schappert, 48, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, February 4, 2024, at the Sunshine Home. She was born on February 18, 1975, in Coldwater, Michigan.

After high school, Viva was employed at Lott Industries where she worked in the activity room. She was a joy to be around and was always smiling and never failed to light up the room. In her free time, she loved going on walks, listening to music, and simply spending time outdoors. Her favorite animals were horses which held a special place in her heart. Viva was incredibly loved by her parents and siblings. While her absence will be painful, they will forever cherish the memories they have with her. She will be incredibly missed.

Viva is survived by her parents, Catherine (Curtis) Aldrich; siblings, Earl (Courtni) Aldrich, Christopher Aldrich, Kat Aldrich, Cari Schappert, Corey Schappert; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Randall L. Schappert who passed in 2017, and her grandparents.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Sunshine Home, 7223 Maumee Western Road, Maumee, OH 43537.

In lieu of flowers, donations made out to the Sunshine Foundation in Viva’s honor would be greatly appreciated by her family.
