Margaret Irene Ritter

Margaret Ritter, 94, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 1, 2023 at Oakleaf Village in Toledo. Margaret was born to Adam and Mamie Hollander on June 10, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana, where she grew up and married LaRoy D. Ritter on July 10, 1948. They were married for 61 years.

After moving to Toledo, Margaret was a sales representative for 23 years with Sears, Roebuck & Company.

Margaret was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for 66 years. She loved family functions, traveling, and walking the mall with her friends. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending the winters with Roy in Bradenton, FL.

Margaret’s parents, siblings, and spouse preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Karen Couturier (Michael), of Sylvania; son, Max Ritter (Patricia) of Maumee; grandchildren, Wendy Couturier of Canton, MI, Matthew Ritter (Leah) of Perrysburg; Julia Ciraulo of Columbus, OH, Andrew Ritter (Crystal) of Perrysburg, Ryan Ritter (India) of Edinburgh, Scotland; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 2-6:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 7th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3011 Carskaddon Ave., Toledo. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
