Margaret A. "Marge" Renard

Margaret A. “Marge” Renard, age 89, of Waterville, Ohio passed away August 2, 2024, at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, surrounded by her family. She was born July 31, 1935, in Toledo, to the late Edward and Martha (Buzalski) Huss and went on to graduate from Notre Dame Academy.

A parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, Marge was active in Christ Renews His Parish. She enjoyed sewing and reading and was a Toledo Rocket and Detroit Tiger fan. Marge loved to spend time with her family. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and celebrated their accomplishments. Marge was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She gave the gift of family and taught loyalty and honor to her loved ones. Marge helped her family to develop a true faith in God and always showed her love through acts of service.

Marge will be reunited with her husband Tom, of 55 years. She is survived by her children, Michael Renard, Denise (Don) Phillips, Jeff (Janine) Renard, Carole (Brad) Hull and Cheryl (David) Bourland; grandchildren, Andy, Kelly, Jason, Jaime, Lauren, Nicole, Krista and David; great grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Cameron, Dylan and Theodore.

The family wishes to thank mom's caregivers from St. Clare Commons and Hospice tor their compassion, especially Teresa, Wendy and Don.

Family and friends may visit from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, followed by prayers and procession to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Marge’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the church followed by committal rites and interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Association) as two of her grandchildren are T1D Warriors (breakthrought1d.org), the Muscular Dystrophy Association to support CMT research or the Alzheimer's Association.
