Margaret B. Pfleghaar

Margaret B. Pfleghaar, age 95, of Maumee passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her family. She was born in Maumee on January 17, 1917 to Charles and Susan Raab Pfleghaar and was 1 of 10 children. After graduation from Maumee High School, she worked as a presser for the Maumee Sanitary Cleaners for 40 years, retiring in 1980. A member of St. Josephs Church in Maumee she was past secretary of St. Josephs Altar and Rosary Society and worked for 60 years on the Golden First Communion Celebration which was originated by her mother, Susan. Margaret and her siblings were raised on Conant St. in Maumee where their father, Charles, ran the family meat market. Margaret is survived by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee on Tuesday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 AM followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Josephs Church, Maumee at 10:30 AM. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 PM in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to St. Josephs Building Fund or the Maumee Paramedics.
