How ‘bout that! With loving family at her side, Margaret L. Patton, 95, was called home to the Lord on July 14, 2014. She was born in Crissey, Ohio on September 2, 1918 to Walter and Vera Gould. Throughout her 95 years, she carried herself with class, dignity, and grace- providing a strong role model for the family that she was so proud of. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, crocheting, and mowing her 3 acres- all well into her 80’s. She was the bookkeeper for the family business, Patton Electric, for 35 years. She was also a past member of Providence Lutheran Church and a member of the Springfield Township Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughters, Vera Mae (Paul) Reid and Carolyn Shirey; grandchildren, Kirk (Kelly) Reid, John (Kelly) Fitch, Susie (Ron) Donnal, Joel (Michelle) Reid, David (Tammy) Fitch, Christa (Scott) Lammers and Jami Shirey; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Jake, Joshua, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Mark, Spencer, Haley, Zoe, Emily, Zachary, Abigail, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Jeremy, Jessica, Jenna, and Jeffrie Jr as well as her great great-grandson Jaxson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Patton; daughter, Geraldine Fitch; brothers, Walter Jr. and Donald Gould and her grandson Jeffrie P. Shirey. Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 3-8:00 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Interment will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Harry E. Patton Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Springfield Township Fire Department.
