Margaret R. Pahl

Margaret Rose Pahl, 84, of Marblehead, Ohio, passed peacefully Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Genoa Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Marge will be remembered for her love of gardening (especially weeding) and her love for animals (especially her pets and “granddogs”). Marge was born on June 6, 1935 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the daughter of Earnest and Margaret A. (Farkas) Hobschaidt. On October 29, 1955 in Brunswick, NJ, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Nelson Pahl (ret. Army Master Sergeant) who had preceded her in death on December 25, 2018. Marge was a military wife, raising her 3 children and making a home as Jim’s military career took him around the world. She worked at the American Music Box Company, was a member of the VFW Post 7572 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member and volunteer at the Danbury Senior Center. Marge will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are children: Valerie J. (Robert) Glovinsky, Brenda A. Pahl, Brett N. Pahl, and “adopted blond daughter” Sharon M. Velliquette; grandchildren, Paul (Katie) Glovinsky, Rob (Jeanette) Glovinsky, Scott (Cortnie) Glovinsky, and Alexandria Pahl. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren and a 5th on the way. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marblehead where she will also be laid to rest with her husband, Jim, and their dog, Jack. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Danbury, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio 43440 or to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 Sand Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
