Margaret Mary Michalak

Margaret M. "Marge" Michalak, 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2026.
Born July 22, 1939, to the late Lawrence and Eugenia Chavalia, Marge was the beloved wife of 57 years to John Michalak Jr., who preceded her in death in 2017.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (Mark Hardesty) Michalak and Michael (Sissy Hunter) Michalak; grandchildren, Ashlee Michalak (Dan Rife), Ryon Michalak, Megan (Dave) Osterholt, and Molly (Brandon) Berger; and eight great-grandchildren.
Marge worked as the Title I Reading Secretary for Toledo Public Schools. A proud 1957 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, she was honored as a member of the first class inducted into the Notre Dame Academy Alumnae Hall of Fame.
She loved the theater, gardening, volunteering, and spending time with her family. Though Alzheimer's disease slowly changed her vibrant mind, it never diminished the love and kindness she shared throughout her life.
Memorial Mass will be May 23rd at 10:00am at Little Flower Catholic Church, Toledo, Rosary will began at 9:40. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Notre Dame Academy, in leau of flowers.
