Margaret May (Layton) Menier Krofft

Margaret May (Layton) Menier Krofft went home to Jesus October 27 2022 at the age of 101. She resided at Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton for the past three months. She is survived by her daughter Joy (Menier) Shandera and her husband Greg, of Chambersburg PA, two grandsons, Matthew R. Shandera (wife Becca) and Patrick J. Shandera (wife Courtney) 4 great grandsons Jaxson, Lukas, Jacen, Landon, and one great granddaughter Lillian, nephews Larry Layton of Columbus Ohio, Chris Menier of Cleveland Ohio, Jim Menier of Marblehead, Ohio, nieces Marsha Menier Treadway, Patricia Menier Eddy, both of Cleveland Ohio and Jan Menier Bowen of Alabama, Lisa Menier Kopp of Marblehead Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her first husband John J Menier, and her second husband Paul M. Krofft both from Port Clinton. Two sons, Theodore(Teddy) Menier, and Ned John Menier, her father Lee Mathew Layton, mother Emmalyn Park Layton, two brothers Jack Layton and Lee Layton Jr.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful friend to many. In her younger days, she loved to garden, cook, bake pies and crafted many flower arrangements to give to friends. She especially loved her outdoor angel garden.

Funeral arrangements are by Gerner Wolf Walker Funeral home. Private graveside service and burial service is at Riverview Cemetery Port Clintontin In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southern Care Hospice, Norwalk, Ohio.
