Margaret L. Turner, 98, of Perrysburg passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. She was born in Perrysburg on April 3, 1913 to John F. and Lucy R. (Schneider) Goeke and was a graduate of Bowling Green State University receiving her teaching certificate. Margaret taught at Lime City and Perrysburg Schools up until her marriage to Harry Ben Turner at Zoar Lutheran Church on August 23, 1939. Margaret was a loving wife and supportive of her husband’s engineering career with General Electric. They lived in Louisville, KY where she was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, a member of the General Electric Women’s Book Club and together with her husband, were active in dinner clubs, playing cards and dancing. She is survived by her husband, Ben; nephews, Richard (Sylvia) Goeke and Mike (Janet) Harper along with several great-nieces and great-nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clamor J. and Harold H. Goeke and sister-in-law, Doris Harper. Friends will be received from 9-11 AM on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 where funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. with The Rev. Edward L. Young officiating. Burial will be private in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. John Lutheran Church, 901 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207.
