After a long, difficult battle with liver disease, Margaret Karamol, while surrounded by loved ones, went home to be with the Lord on July 28th.
Margaret was born to Raymond and Mary Edna Coss on January 7, 1952. She attended Anthony Wayne High School, where she met the love of her life, Frank Karamol. The two were a match made in heaven and went on to be married for over 51 years. Together they had 3 children; Frank, Emily and Jason, 7 grandchildren; (Frank) Chelsea, Frank Jr and Logan, (Emily) Myranda Welch and Meghan Carr, (Jason) Aurora and Sebastian, and 6 great grandchildren; (Myranda) Rowan Welch, (Meghan) Shawn Meece, Jr., (Frank Jr.) Trinity, and (step-grandchildren) Miles, Mason and Finn, all of whom she referred to as her sunshine.
Being a wife, mother, grandma and GiGi was one of the most important parts of Margaret’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. Margaret was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of others before her own. She treated every child that spent time in her home as if they were her own and was known as “mom” by all of them.
When she wasn't filling her home with warmth and kindness, Margaret could be found in her backyard watching the hummingbirds, camping with her husband, family and friends, or attending luncheons with her friends.
Margaret was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
