GARDNER Margaret J. Margaret Jane Gardner, 90, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday February 3, 2012 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. Margaret was born March 26, 1921 in South Fork, PA to the late Alexander and Sara G. Dimond Campbell. She was married to Robert L. Gardner April 30, 1949. Margaret was a graduate of Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA. She served as a bio-chemist in the United States Navy during World War II, after the war she became a home economics teacher in Pittsburgh and New Castle, Pa. Margarets love of reading, music, and sewing, were in addition to her talent as an accomplished watercolor artist belonging to the Westlake Watercolor Society of Westlake, Ohio. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother and overall wonderful woman who was admired by all and will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Robert; five children: Robert, Hal Maureen Gardner, Mari Jim Palmer, Sarah Gardner, Debe Daryl Gruver; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Gillian, Adam, Evan, Corey, Alexander, Daniel; great granddaughter, Amrys; sister, Sarah Louise; and 21 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Margaret is preceded in death by her brother, Arthur, and two sisters, Dorothy and Mary. Private interment will take place at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River, Ohio. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date at Little Flower Catholic Church, where Margaret was a member.
