Marcia Willard

Marcia Louise (Bodeman) Willard, born July 10, 1941, to Frederick and Lucille Bodeman in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. Marcia was a 1959 graduate of Woodward High School, married Donald Willard, in 1962, and lovingly raised 3 children.

Marcia enjoyed spending time with family and friends; golfing, bowling, playing games and cards (always winning), and traveling. It is known that Marcia was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. Marcia was a member of the Toledo Elks Lodge 53 and a past member of the Emblem Club.

She is survived by her loving partner, Richard Ortman; one sister, Carole Lemerand; one sister-in-law, Rose Bodeman; two daughters, Wendy (Kurt) Hisey, and Amy (Sean) Pennywitt; one son, Kirk (Michelle) Willard; four grandchildren, Ethan and Lily Pennywitt, Victoria (Zach) Campbell, and Alex Hisey; one great-grandson, Jackson. Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, Fred, and Lucille; husband, Don; and one brother, Dale Bodeman.

An honorable thank you to the staff at Ebeid Hospice for their kind and gentle care for Marcia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 1:00-6:30PM at the Walker Funeral Home, Sylvania Avenue, with an Elks service beginning at 6:00PM. A funeral service will follow at 6:30pm.

In honor of Marcia, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
