Marcia Leigh Lindsay

Marcia Leigh Lindsay November 21st, 1959 - September 22nd, 2020 On September 22nd 2020, Marcia Leigh Lindsay (60), passed away peacefully at Toledo Hospital. She was surrounded by her four children, Korey Kashmer, Kourtney Garrow, Kaleigh Sammut, Kirsty Goodell and two nieces, Marin Lindsay and Brenna Alexander. Marcia was born on November 21st 1959 in Hudson, Michigan to George Lindsay and Rosemarie Wanner. She graduated from Evergreen High School in 1978 where she was a cheerleader. She went to Ohio State College of Barber Styling where she received her barber degree. She was a successful beautician in the Toledo area for over 40 years. Marcia will be remembered by both her contagious smile and infectious laugh, that could be recognized even in a crowded room. Those that knew her knew she adopted the trait of stubborness however, she definitely had a soft side as well. She loved football and was a passionate fan for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Every year she looked forward to the rivalry game against Michigan Wolverines because it typically fell on or around her birthday. She had an eye for art and design. Throughout her life she built two houses and had impeccable taste in home design. Marcia’s biggest passion was traveling down to Sarasota Florida. She could be found laying on the beautiful white sandy beach of Siesta Key, soaking up the Florida sun. She always had a little piece of paradise with her back home in Toledo, displaying palm trees, dolphins and flamingos in her home. Marcia is survived by her Mother and Step Father, – Rosemarie and Jeff Wanner; Step-Mother, Eleanora Lindsay; Brother, Mark Lindsay; Children, Korey (Kelly) Kashmer, Kourtney (John) Garrow, Kaleigh (Tony) Sammut, Kirsty Goodell and 6 grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews, Brenna (Brian) Alexander, Marin Lindsay, Jack Lindsay, Hannah Lindsay, and Noah Lindsay. She was preceded in death by her Father, George Lindsay; and brother, Michael Lindsay. A small ceremony will be held next spring in Siesta Key Florida as these were Marcia’s wishes.
