Marcia James

Marcia Ann James of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on June 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and close friend. Surviving her are her husband of 57 years, brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren. She was 79 years old.

She was a loving wife, caring mother who strived to raise godly children; she cherished God’s word, read the Bible daily and lived out her faith each day as she put others before herself. Marcia worked tirelessly and cheerfully as wife and mother, sacrificially giving to her family.

Within the church she served her Lord. As a young mother, she helped with Good News Club at Highland Elementary which offered an after-school program for children that shared the gospel of Christ and encouraged Bible memorization. For years she helped with Vacation Bible School and the nursery ministry at Westgate Chapel and at Christ the Word.

Her siblings include Ruth Gibbs, Paul L. Ziemer and wife, Marilyn, and Esther Dickson; her sistersin-law and brothers-in-law include Jay James, and wife, Marilyn, Jill Leonard and husband, Lyle, Jonathan James, and wife, Linda, and Jeffrey James and wife, Lynne.

Children include Benjamin F. James, IV, and wife, Jannel, and Julia James Eurey and husband, Paul.

Grandchildren include Ludmila Christina James, Maria Anna James, Rachel Elizabeth James, Sara Ruth James, Rebecca Grace James, Robert F. Bundy, III and wife, Mikayla, Kelsey Ann Poynter and husband Ryan and her great-grandchild, Jaxson Jon Bartosh.

A funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2022. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am with service at 11:00 am with graveside at 12:30 pm at Toledo Memorial Park. Marcia leaves a legacy of faith and lifetime example of love in action. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marcia's name to some of her favorite charities: Still Waters Biblical Counseling Ministry (https://www.bstill.online), Samaritan’s Purse, American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), Prison Fellowship, and Billy Graham Evangelical Association.
