Marcella Zatko, 91, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Marcella was born in Toledo, Ohio, on January 23, 1920, to John and Clara Miller Meyers. She married John E. Zatko, Jr. in Napoleon, Ohio, on July 15, 1941, and he preceded her in death April 4, 2009. Marcella, above all was dedicated to her family. She spoiled all her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their lifes events. Marcella loved to bake and at Christmas time she made lots of cookies, giving them all away for others to enjoy. Every Sunday she wanted all of her family to have dinner together, and after dinner they would take a Sunday drive, not knowing where they would end up. Marcella also enjoyed camping, playing bingo, and collecting very special dolls. She was also a member of the Millbury Firemaids for over 50 years and a member of the former American Legion Auxiliary in Bradner, Ohio. Surviving Marcella are her daughter, Nancy Mullins, grandchildren, Mark Shari Mullins, Christopher Mullins, Rhonda Ralph Kesling, great grandchildren, Nicole, Hannah, Blake, Haley, and Halayna, sister-in-law, Barbara Meyers and cousin, Virginia Lee, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Randal Mullins, brothers, Clarence and Robert and sister, Lois. A funeral service for Marcella will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 1 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Interment will be in the Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. The family suggests memorials in Marcellas name be directed to the Wood County Humane Society, 801 Van Camp Rd., Bowling Green, OH 43402.
