Marc R. Fashbaugh

Marc R. Fashbaugh, 62, of Perrysburg, passed away suddenly at St. Luke’s Hospital on November 18, 2022, after a seven-year battle with cancer. He was born on December 14, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Russell Fashbaugh and Delores (Zucker) Fashbaugh.

Marc was a graduate of Maumee High School. He had a long career with Educare Academy and was a driving force in creating the largest 5 Star chain of Child Development Centers in The State of Ohio. There he served for 30 years, eventually becoming the Vice President of Administration. He consistently provided support to his peers and enjoyed educating young children. Marc’s work was his life and it certainly enabled him to make a positive impact on tens of thousands of young lives during his time.

Marc loved the simple things in life such as lounging around the pool, caring for his dogs Branda and Simba, riding his bike, and taking care of his vehicles. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan fan.

Above all, Marc will be most remembered as a caring and generous person. He never spoke an unkind word to anyone and was simply nice to everyone he met. He was always willing to lend a hand and was never too busy to be there for a friend. Marc was Catholic, baptized at Corpus Christi Church. He was a great friend, brother, and son, and will be missed by so many.

Marc is survived by his mother, Delores; sister, Barbie (Timm) Meyers; brothers, Craig Fashbaugh, Michael (Denise) Fashbaugh and Kenneth (Rachel) Fashbaugh; niece, Katelyn (Mark) Vallen; nephew, Ben (Becca) Meyers; and grand-nephew, Raiden Jacob Meyers. He was also preceded in death by his father, Russell Fashbaugh; grandparents: Lucille and Albert Zucker, Ray and Iris Fashbaugh.

A visitation will take place on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), Toledo. Marc’s funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi University Parish, 2955 Dorr St., Toledo. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon afterwards at the church.
