Maggie F. Gallaher

Micki Gallaher, 79, of Williston, Ohio, died quietly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio. Micki was born in Mountain City TN on May 7, 1938 to Howard and Maude (Heaton) Horne. She married Gerald H. Smith in Toledo, OH, in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1982. Micki later married Bartley C. Gallaher in Sylvania, OH and he also preceded her in death in 1999. She was a dedicated caregiver her entire life, seeing to the needs of others whether they be senior citizens or newborns. Micki enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, watching her soap operas, and gardening. She was always ready for her favorite treat; ice cream! Micki is survived by her daughters: Sue (Cal) Himmler and Mischele Fisher, grandchildren, Clarissa (Chris) Pereces, Jonathan (Ashley) Griffith and Cristian Griffith, great grandson, Noah Pereces, and siblings, John (Mary) Horne, Eva (Calvin) Croley and Katherine LaBowski. Micki was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Gerald H. Smith and Bartley C. Gallaher, and siblings, Lynne Thomas, Ann Brunner and Bob Horne. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, Ohio 43468. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship and light refreshmnets in the church hall until 7:00 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Station #34, P.O. Box 154, Williston, OH 43468 or to the Boy Scout Troop of your choice. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio 43430, is assisting the family with arrangements.
