Madonna R. Thayer

Madonna Rose Thayer, 72, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at her home. She was born in Toledo, OH to Walter and Elanore (Stewart) Tarasewicz on November 29, 1952. Madonna worked as a sorter for over 20 years at Midwest Tape. She had a caring and giving nature that made everyone around her feel comfortable and safe. Passionate about her family, she could always be found using her cooking and baking talents to feed not just those related to her, but the neighborhood kids as well. She enjoyed coffee and wine, feeding the deer and birds, and gardening. No other hugs could compare to the love felt when she pulled you close.

Madonna is survived by Christine (Jim) Pollard, Constance (Terry) Bee, Natalie Thayer, Larry Thayer III, Lillian Thayer, Hanna Pollard, Hunter Bee, Elizabeth Bee, Carter Bee; great-grandchild, Cassiopeia Lovelace; siblings, Donald (Valerie) Walker, Patricia (Mike) Kaminski, Dale (Barb) Terry; step sons, Robert Solon, Jr., and Chad Solon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Solon; and son Larry Thayer, Jr.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
