Madeline Elizabeth Monto

Madeline Elizabeth Monto, age 96, of Perrysburg, OH passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 in St. Lukes Hospital. She was born July 10, 1912 in Evansville, WI to Daniel and Victoria Regina Hoffman Knauss. Madeline was a graduate of Waite High School class of 1930. She was employed by Interlake Iron for 8 years as an Ostenographer. Madeline was a parishioner at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg for 59 years. She enjoyed playing bridge and vacationing with friends and family. The widow of Edwin Frank Monto who passed away in 1995, Madeline is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Monto of Perrysburg, OH and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Madeline was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Geller. Visitation and services will be private. The family would like to thank the aids, nurses and staff at the Manor of Perrysburg for their excellent care of Madeline, and a special thank you to friend and caregiver, Dorothy.
