Mabel E. Widmer

Mabel E. Widmer, 95, of Genoa, OH died Friday, January 2, 2009 in Heartland of Waterville, Waterville, OH. Mabel was born in Graytown, OH on June 4, 1913 to Amil and Wilhemina Wendt Wilka. She married C. Alvin Widmer in Genoa, OH April 2, 1932 and he preceded her in death September 26, 1988. Mabel is survived by her son, Dan E. Widmer of Perrysburg, OH, grandchildren Scott, Troy, and Evan Widmer all of Perrysburg, three great-grandchildren, and sister Lucille Kayzor of Perrysburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Ester Kramer, and brothers, Otto, Lester, and Edwin Wilka. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in St. John United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St. Genoa, followed by interment in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 AM until the service. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Mabels name, be given to St. Johns United Church of Christ, Genoa. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
