Mabel I. Straub

Mabel Mabel Irene Wollpert Straub, born on August 21, 1921, in Marysville, Ohio, went to meet her Savior on Saturday, November 17, 2012, following severe injuries from a car accident in September. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carter R. Straub, parents William and Essie Wollpert, and sisters Ruth Wollpert and Mary Merrell. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Straub, and two sons, Rev. Dr. Brian Kathleen Straub and Nathan Straub, two grandchildren, Rebekah Ander son and John Justina Straub, and three great-grandchildren, Carter Anderson, Peter Anderson, and Ethan Straub. Mabel was active in Monroe Street United Methodist Church and volunteered for several years at Ronald McDonald House. Friends may call on the family from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania Ave., in Toledo. The service will follow at 11:00 with Rev. Karen Shepler officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the Memorial Fund of Monroe Street United Methodist Church.
