Mabel E. Kardatzke, 89, of Oak Harbor died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on March 7, 1924 in Woodville, OH to Fred and Minnie Butt Fiebelkorn. On December 16, 1961 in Genoa, OH she married Harold Kardatzke, and he survives. Before marriage Mabel worked for Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and Brush Beryllium in Luckey, OH. After marriage she worked as a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church. Mabel was a member of the Ottawa County Farm Bureau and served as an officer. She also helped with the Ottawa County 4-H Club, the P.T.A., and various school functions with her children. Mabel enjoyed gardening and traveling. In addition to her husband, Harold, Mabel is survived by her son: Howard Michelle Groll and her children, Kyle and Jacob Kardatzke of Oak Harbor, daughter: Lisa Molnar of Port Clinton, nieces nephews, and dear family friend: Diana Mark Weiker of Green Springs, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Norman, Carl, Willard, Walter, and Leonard Fiebelkorn, and nephew: Clyde Fiebelkorn. Visitation will be on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 6-8 p.m., at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Rob Rakay at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in memory of Mabel to the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church, the Ottawa County 4-H Endowment, or Riverview Healthcare Campus Auxiliary.
