M. Helen Depner Warren, 91, of Oak Harbor died Friday, May 06, 2011 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on October 4, 1919 in Windham, OH to John A. and Julia Ramsdall Mackey. On October 9, 1940 in Rocky Ridge she married Lloyd F. Depner, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1952. On July 10, 1965 she married Harry A. Warren, who preceded her in death on March 31, 2000. Helen had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Thomas Reinecks office in Fremont, worked in the cafeteria at Clyde Schools, and as an aide in surgery at Memorial Hospital in Fremont. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, former member of the Ballville Garden Club and enjoyed reading. Helen loved being with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Helen is survived by her children, son: Randy Judy Depner of Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter: Barb Lorensen of Oak Harbor, son: Dennis Donna Depner of Port Clinton; and step-daughter: Laren Carter of Castalia, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister: Evelyn Wagner of Fremont, and sister-in-law: Elaine Mackey of Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father: Clarence Weaver, 2 husbands, 1 granddaughter, 1 great grandson, brothers: Clare, Charles, James, Roger, John Buzz, and Emmett Mackey, and son-in-laws: Roger Lorensen and Robert Carter. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions in memory of Helen can be given to Stein Hospice or the Ottawa County Humane Society.
