Lynda J. Walton, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Harbor View, Ohio, September 5, 1928 to Alfred and Junia Hawkins Harris. Lynda was a proud member of the Daughters of America. She was a charter member of Laurel Council # 117 and currently belonged to Rossford Council # 328. Through the years, Lynda held many offices in this organization. She served as the State Councilor of Ohio in 1989-1990. Lynda also served as National Councilor in 2004-2006. Lynda was a Registered Nurse working many years at Riverside Hospital and retiring in 1994. Lynda enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and watching her grandchildren in their many activities, family gatherings and going to the casinos. She married Lester Walton on June 7, 1946, and from that union they raised four children, Vicki John Stolzer, Perrysburg, OH, Larry Sandra Walton, Oak Harbor, OH, Barbara Ronald Pelc, Perrysburg, OH, and Linda Larry Keil, Rossford, OH. She has eight grandchildren, Kevin Diane Stolzer, Hilliard, OH, Jennifer Karl Schmidt, Perrysburg, OH, Paul Stacey Stolzer, Moline, OH, Heather Michael Kovacs, Temperance, MI, Aaron Bonnie Keil, Point Place, OH, David Walton, Oak Harbor, OH, Michael Walton, Oak Harbor, OH and Carl Keil, Rossford, OH. She also has eight great grandchildren; Zoey, Kaitlin, Timothy, Damien, Jacob, Sydney, Josiah, and Jayda; sisters, Marilyn Gadberry and Joyce Douglas; sister-in-law, Eva Harris. In addition to her parents and husband, Lynda was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Snow. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg.
