Lyllian C. Casperson

Lyllian C. Casperson, 93, of Monroeville, OH, and formerly of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Friday, March 17, 2017 at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, OH. Lyllian was born on December 13, 1923 in Graytown, OH, the daughter of Carl and Naomi (Blausey) Schutte. On February 01, 1940 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Williston, OH, she married Harold Casperson and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1978. Lyllian was a school bus driver for Port Clinton City Schools for 23 years until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Lyllian will be missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughter: Janet Wright; Son: James (Lana) Casperson; 7 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Lyllian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter: Shirley Casperson, daughter: Rita Gilleland, brother: Alvin Schutte and great-grandson: D.J. Gray. Visitation will be 5-8PM, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Dr. James Lehman at 11:00AM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
