Lyle Robert Stiles Jr.

Lyle Robert Stiles Jr., age 79 of Toledo, known to all by his nickname Lucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2026 in his home surrounded by loved ones.

Lucky was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He graduated in 1965 from Anthony Wayne High School, and later with degrees from the University of Toledo in 1972, Ohio University in 2004, and University of Arizona Global Campus in 2007.

Lucky worked as a quality control engineer at American Warming and Ventilating for 18 years and later at Calphalon for 16 years before retiring and enjoying working in the yard at home. Lucky enjoyed playing drums in a rock 'n roll band from his days in high school with his brother Jack and friends forming The Stingrays and through his adult years playing in the Highway Band and Riverbend Band. Lucky married his high school sweetheart Patricia Ann, known affectionately as Patsy or Pat (nee Hunyor), on August 23, 1969.

Lucky is survived by his sons Lyle III (Sandi), Matthew and Nathan (Drew), grandchildren Sophia, Casey, Brady, Blue, Meadow and Bee, brothers Jack (Gloria), Herb (Lisa) and Keith (Vicki). He is preceded in death by his parents Lyle Sr. and his mother Bethane Lure Stiles and step-father Perry Shaw.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee with a graveside service immediately following at Highland Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers include; Lyle III, Matthew, Nathan, Casey, Brady and Blue.

The family asks that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
