Lydia H. Lenning

Lydia H. Lenning, 93, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at her home. She was born on September 4, 1925 to Henry and Lydia (Merkle) Meinen in Toledo, Ohio. Lydia loved nature and being outdoors, basket weaving, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband, Jerald. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerald E. (Darlene) Lenning, Ann (Stan) Lafountain, Helen (Dale) Fisher, and Jane (Clarence) Lickert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Ernest. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care that made it possible to keep her at home, and especially her nurse Elizabeth, who she loved dearly. The earth has lost a rare and beautiful soul and heaven has gained an angel. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home (419-691-6768), 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 10:00 am until the start of funeral services at 2:00 pm.
