Luette Pawlaczyk

Luette Mae Pawlaczyk, 81, of Holland, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, with her loving husband by her side, after battling a longtime illness.

She was born in Toledo on July 3, 1940. Luette was married to the love of her life John E. Pawlaczyk for over 61years. Together they raised their five children. Luette was a nurturing and loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived for her family.  She treasured being with her children and grandchildren and entertaining for the holidays or family gatherings. A thoughtful and kind person she gave to many charities and would always send a card with a kind word to someone in need.

She was a very talented baker and worked at Strauss Bakery for many years. Her baking became well known, making wedding cakes for hundreds of couples including each of her children. Luette was a woman of strong faith, first being part of the choir at Immaculate Conception in Swanton, and most recently belonging to Little Flower Catholic Church.  When Luette and John had some time to spend together, they loved going to Side Cut Park and being near the river.

Luette will be remembered by her beloved husband, John E. Pawlaczyk; children, John M. (Patty) Pawlaczyk, Lisa (Terry) Miller, Cheryl (Jason) Beebe, Greg (Darla) Pawlaczyk, Leslie (John) King; grandchildren, Caitlin, Sarah, Noah, Terrence, Robert, Ethon, Evan, Kelsey, Madison, Laney, Jordan; and countless friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Harry (Audrey) Grayczyk; mother, Gertrude (Richard) McCance; and sister, Sherianne Gebauer.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 3-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623, where a Scripture Service will take place at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 17, 2022, beginning at 10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH 43615, until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
