Luetta S. Switzer

Luetta S. Switzer, 92, of Port Clinton, OH and formerly of Fostoria, passed away, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at The Willows of Bellevue, Bellevue, OH. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Flat Rock Twp., OH the daughter of Herman and Clara (Wichmann) Bunke. On July 08, 1956 in Florida, OH, she married Lester Switzer, Jr. and he preceded her in death on April 05. 1987. Lou was a teacher for the Fostoria City Schools until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Dorcus Circle. Lou enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughter: Sara Ann (Lawrence) Logsdon; Step-Daughter: Linda Corso; Grandchildren: Daniel (Heidi) Logsdon, Elizabeth Logsdon, Michael Logsdon and Kelly (Brendan) Shirkey; Great-Grandchildren: Estella Logsdon and Owen Shirkey; Sister: Elnora (Walter) Westrick. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Arthur, Elmer, Albert, Paul, Edwin and Walter Bunke, infant sister: Erna Bunke, sisters: Alvina Bunke and Helen Scheuerman. Visitation will be from 4-8PM, Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Dr. James Lehman at 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in the Fountains Cemetery, Fostoria, OH at 2:00PM. Memorial contributions in memory of Lou may be given to the Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or St. Johns Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
