Lucy N. Gomez

Lucy N. Gomez, 92, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born on January 7, 1924 to Jose and Begnigna (Nava) Garcia in Asherton, Texas. Lucy loved to volunteer and feed the homeless at Cedar Creek Church. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Aurora Duran, Juan Garcia, Benita Barrera, Benancia Bazan, Juanita Martinez, Cirilo Garcia, Tomasa Bermejo, Jesus Garcia; son, Marcos Gomez; daughter, Manuela Gomez; and grandchild, Michael Salas. Left to cherish her memory are is her brother, Ray Garcia; children, Eddie (Betty) Garcia, Rose (Vic) Bowlick, Lenore (Howard) Osenbaugh, Handrea (Dave) Fischer, and Ramona Gomez; 21 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH 43616. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
