Lucille R. Killion Kretz

Lucille R. (Killion) Kretz, 91, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Defiance, Ohio to Raymond and Margaret (Keller) Killion on October 16, 1927. She married Donald K. Kretz on May 7, 1949 and was happily married until his death in 1994. First and foremost, Lucille was a great mother, grandmother and a faithful friend; happiest when doing things for others. Lucille was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church for nearly 50 years and a volunteer there for many of those years. She prided herself on her independence; she lived alone and was still driving at the age of 91. Although Lucille had a walker, she never used it for fear of looking old. Lucille is survived by her children, Mark Kretz, Michael Kretz, Gary (Lynn) Kretz, Kathy Kretz (Chris Snyder), and Amy Didion; grandchildren, Chelsea (Luke), Lindsay (Jamie), Jesse (Charity), Adam (Megan), Sarah, Shelby (George), and Mitchell (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Sienna, Tyler, Silas and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Nellie, Eugene, Nancy; and children-in-law, Annie, Michael, and John. A Funeral Service will start at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens in Defiance, Ohio at 2 PM. Memorial donations in Lucille’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH.
