Lucille K. Jones

Lucille K. Jones aged 93, passed away peacefully January 29, 2012 at Hospice of NW Ohio. She was born Sept. 10, 1918 in Brownsville, PA to the late Alfred and Sadie Kennedy. On July 14, 1940 she married John Jack K. Jones and they celebrated 61 wonderful years together, 20 of those being spent playing golf and enjoying their retirement years together in Whispering Pines, NC before Jacks death in 2001. Lucille was an accomplished seamstress, being one of the first instructors for Stretch and Sew in the Toledo area as well as an honorary member of B and B. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, her family was the most important part of her life. Her jokes and sense of humor lit up any room she was in, especially if wine was involved. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and wide circle of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sons, John Kendrick and Rick; and grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Alex and Misti. She is survived by daughter, Terry Steve Adams; sons, David Jill and Barry Jones; daughter-in-law, Diana Jones; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Don Kennedy. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, 11AM at Walker Funeral Home on Sylvania Avenue.
