Lucia Clare Farkas

Lucia Clare Farkas was born and baptized on January 28, 2026. After spending just over a day on earth being cherished by her family, she went home to our Lord in Heaven on January 29th. Lucia passed away peacefully as a result of a fatal combination of neural tube defects.

Her parents, Sean and Meredith, along with her big brothers, George and Leo, are so grateful for the precious time that they had with Lucia throughout the pregnancy and especially the blessed time they shared with her after birth. These moments will be treasured forever.

To her loving family, every moment with Lucia was a beautiful gift. Her caring and attentive big brothers loved to snuggle and send her kisses, feel her move, and would talk, sing, and read to her, including her in all aspects of family life while she was safely inside her mother.

Due to her diagnosis, her life was expected to be very brief, and her family was told they likely would have little to no time with her after birth. Her family considered it a pure gift to receive over a day with her, during which she became stable enough to spend a few hours with her big brothers—being held, sung to, and loved.

While she is missed dearly, we rest in the hope and confidence that she has now joined her two other siblings (Michael and Margaret Mary) among the saints in Heaven, to forever be with God for whom she was made.

A Funeral Mass for Lucia will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio.
