Loyola Viola Viola Helle

Loyola “Loy” Viola Helle, 70, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was born on October 29, 1951 in Perrysburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Junior and Lanora (Williams) Wisegiver. On February 15, 1974 she married Donald A. Helle, Jr., and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2012. Loy graduated from Woodmore High School in 1970. She was a member of the Oak Harbor Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness and a past member of the former Port Clinton Moose Lodge. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, reading, playing solitaire, and watching movies on the Hallmark channel. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Nathan R. Helle, Port Clinton, Jeffrey A. Helle, Bellevue, Ohio, Monica J. Helle, Port Clinton, and Adam C. Helle, Van Wert, Ohio; grandchildren, Marissa, Connor, Arabella and Harley Helle; sister, Polly Hoff, Elmore, Ohio; brother-in-law, Roger Pierson, Oak Harbor, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her granddaughter, Kallie Helle, and sisters, Janette “Jan” Jividen, Nancy Pierson, and Oma Wisegiver. Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11 am with Wayne Burdge officiating. Burial will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, LaCarne, Ohio. A light luncheon will be held following the committal service at the Port Clinton Knights of Columbus Hall, 109 E. Perry Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. All are invited to attend.
