Louise Clark

October 8, 1951 — March 15, 2026

Louise (Hay) Clark, age 74, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on March 15, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Detroit Avenue. She was born on October 8, 1951, in Toledo to William C. "Jack" Hay and Margaret (Rathka) Hay.

Louise often said her family was "her world" and "her smiles," and she truly lived those words every day. There was nothing more important to her than the people she loved. She was always willing to do anything for her family at a moment's notice. She was simply always there.

Strong, tough, and resilient, Louise faced many medical struggles since 2019. Through it all, she fought with incredible determination. Her doctor told her she was a warrior for the perseverance and courage she showed time and again.

Her husband, Jerry Clark, was her best friend and her rock. Together they shared countless memories, especially on their Sunday drives, whether cruising in one of their beloved Corvettes or riding one of their Harleys. While Louise was known for her bravery, she would admit that hot air balloon rides, encouraged by Jerry, and anything involving swimming, tested that courage. Despite her fear of swimming, she still enjoyed boating with Jerry because being by his side meant everything to her.

Louise and her daughter, Tracey, were also the best of friends. Anyone who knew them and the special relationship that they shared would say that they were each other's backbone and strength. They were an inseparable pair and enjoyed quality time together, whether it was going to different places around town or just gossiping. Some of Louise's most joyful moments were spent visiting the metro parks, the zoo, or the beach with Tracey and her grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Clark; her daughter, Tracey Minkowski; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Billy and Marilyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. "Jack" and Margaret (Rathka) Hay; her son, Gary; and her brothers, Chuck and Ted.

Louise will be cremated, and her life will be celebrated privately by her family. Her strength, devotion, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
