Louis F. Mack

October 21, 1916 — December 16, 2012

Louis F. Mack of Lambertville, MI, finished his 96 year journey on earth and passed peacefully to his eternal home on Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the Aspen Grove Assisted Living Residence. Born to Samuel and Elizabeth Olson Mack on October 21, 1916 in Warren, PA, he attended Warren High School and later moved to Toledo. He was employed at the Spicer Dana Plant for over 45 years as a skilled machinist and assembler, moving to Florida after retirement. Louis served with the United States Army Headquarters Command 78th Division in WWII. He was assigned to Europe during the occupation of Berlin, Germany. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Louis was a very loving father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, first wife Mildred Mack Brown, second wife Mary Mack Brown/Ustach, brothers Leroy Mack and Albert Mack. He is survived by his loving family: sons: Robert Mack Sharon of Swanton, Edward Mack Barbara of Toledo, and James Mack Chris of Monclova; grandchildren: Terri Dawson Mike, Jeffrey Mack Jennifer, Jason Mack Sheryl, Joel Mack fianc, Naomi; great-grandchildren: Chris Dawson, Mike Dawson, Daniel Mack, and Lucas Mack. He is also survived by his beloved companion of 21 years, Virginia Ebner. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 18 from 4-8PM and Wednesday, December 19 from 10-11AM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. A memorial service celebrating Louis life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19, at 11AM. Rev. Bradford Scott of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of nurses and caregivers for their loving care at The Aspen Grove Assisted Living Residence. Special thanks to Pastor Bradford Scott for his many visits and prayers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Laskey Rd., Toledo; Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or a charity of the donors choice.
