Louis Paul Darah passed away April 19, 2022 from complications of Dementia. He was 85. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lucille Darah; and sister, Corrine Darah Joseph.
Louis grew up in West Toledo. He graduated from Kentucky Military Institute and furthered his education at the University of Toledo. While at UT he, along with many of his cousins, was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.
Louis went on to join his father, Paul Darah in business, working at Superior Overall Laundry Company. He later went on to found Superior Uniform Sales, with his 1st cousin, Bill Darah. Retiring several years ago, the company remains today. Louis had a number of hobbies. Louis was an avid handball player. He was well known for his unprecedented collection of MOPAR cars, Scarab boats, model trains and planes and his love for flying. He belonged to many car clubs throughout the years but his favorite was being the General Manager of The Blue Horizon Flying Club for over 50 years. He would use his own plane on many occasions for Angel Flights to help sick children in need of medical care far from home.
Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Sherrie Darah; sons, Jeffrey (Lesa), Paul (Erin); and daughter, Corrine Mann (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Shelbie Darah, Makenzie Elkington, Parker Darah, Alexandria Mann, Annsley Mann, Abigail Mann, Brent Darah, JJ Darah and Jessica Darah.
Visitation with the family will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., all at St. Elias Church, 4940 Harroun Road, Sylvania. OH.
