Lou Anne Schlievert

Lou Anne (Truman) Schlievert, age 80, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on March 26, 1942 in Forest, Ohio to Frank and Marilyn (Kidd) Truman.  She graduated from Genoa High School, where she was the salutatorian of her class.    Lou Anne was also very athletic and played softball in high school and later coached baseball.  She was involved in both the Girl Scouts and Rainbow Girls and enjoyed traveling and shopping.  Most of all, Lou enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends.  She will be missed by many.

Lou Anne was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where she proudly and honorably served for 10 years.  While on active duty, she spent 3 years in London, was a drill instructor for 16 months at Parris Island and was also the receptionist for the Under Secretary of the Navy.

Lou Anne is survived by her brothers, Tom (Joan) and Paul (Marie); best and long time friend, Louise Wistock and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, Harry and Larry.

Visitation for Lou Anne will be held from 3:00-4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio.  Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm in the funeral home.  Interment will be private. A reception will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Williston following Lou Anne's service. Anyone wishing to send a memorial in memory of Lou Anne might give to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, The American Cancer Society or The Wounded Warriors Project.
