Lori Lynn Warren

July 1, 1962 — July 6, 2024

Lori Lynn Warren, 62, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away at her home on July 6, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on July 1, 1962, the daughter of Ronald A. and Linda L. (Rolfes) Dunn, Sr.

She graduated from Woodmore High School in 1980 and received her associate degree in Medical Secretarial in 1982. She remained in the medical field, as the Regional Director of Office Operations for Home Health and Hospice, until her retirement.

Lori battled Pancreatic cancer for two long years. She went through two major surgeries, and many rounds of chemotherapy. We called her wonder woman, because she was so strong and never gave up her fight. She is an inspiration to her entire family. She would always say, it's not going to be easy, but I promise it will be okay. Lori was the greatest gift to us all.

Lori was married to Lynn for 38 years. They met at the Woodville Bowling alley, during bowling leagues. After they were married, they shared their love for bowling with their children Derek and Erika for many years to follow.

Being a mother was one of her greatest gifts. She was the mom who never missed a sporting event growing up. Always made sure her kids were where they needed to be and made sure to always make time for them. She was the best mother, the nurturing kind, the one who would do anything for her kids.

Her absolute favorite place to be was their camper in Oak Harbor, Ohio. It was her quiet and peaceful home away from home. She adored looking over the river with a cup of coffee in the morning gazing at the sunrise, and always on the lookout for the bald eagles. She loved having family and friends down to the camper all the time. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids fish and play all day long. Lynn would make sure to always make her favorite peppers over the fire. When she had campfires, she always had them really big. Lori truly enjoyed sitting around the fire and feeling the heat for hours at a time.

She loved being Nana and spending time with her grandbabies, whether it was going to sporting events, or taking them on a day trip that would be unforgettable. After a rainy day, she would take them outside and stroll the streets to mud puddle jump. Her grandbabies adored her, and we're always ready for their next adventure with Nana.

When Lori was not with family, she was out having a good time with her friends. We called her our dancing machine! If there was a band you would always find Lori on the dance floor. She loved to laugh and let loose out there. Lori was always the life of the party, and she would always tell you to dance like nobody's watching. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She was never afraid to try new things or go somewhere new.

Lori was the type of woman to really make an impact on your life. Her smile would light up any room she walked into, and she would always greet you with a big hug! Her laugh was contagious. If you were having a bad day, she would always be the one to answer your calls and talk you off the ledge or put you in your place. She was the giving type, anytime, anyplace, she was there. She held a special place in her heart for everyone she met. She was easy to talk to and be around. She was full of love, laughter, and fun. Her friends and family were her world!

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Lynn E. Warren, mother and stepfather, Linda (Vern) Schmidt, children, Derek E. (Kimberly) Warren, Erika L. (Matthew Moenter) Warren, grandchildren, Kerrie Olea, Ryan Olea, Jr., Bryce E. Warren, Braelyn R. Warren, Braxton E. Barton, great granddaughter, Skarlette R. Olea, and siblings, Ron (Brenda) Dunn, Jr., and Lana (Kent) Schumacher, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dunn, Sr. sister, Regina Dunn, and stepson, Ryan Miller.

Lori will be missed by many, and we will hold her close to our hearts forever. She will always be the perfect angel on our shoulders.
