Lori Lee Helppie, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 62. She was born on December 14, 1961in Toledo, Ohio to Allen and Bonnie (Thompson) Martin.
Lori graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School, Class of 1980. Her education laid the foundation for her future career, where her compassion and dedication shone brightly.
Lori dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a 911 operator and medical helicopter dispatcher. She tirelessly served her community, saving lives and providing critical support in times of crisis. Lori was known for her calm demeanor and unwavering commitment to those in need. She was a problem solver by nature and took great pride in her ability to make a difference in people's lives.
Outside of her career, Lori found her greatest joy in her family. She was a devoted wife to Bruce, a loving mother to her children, and a cherished grandmother. Family meant everything to Lori, and she always made time to create lasting memories with her loved ones.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bruce Helppie; daughter, Whitney Hughes; sons, Brian and Scott Helppie; grandchildren, Shayleigh Hughes, McKenna May, Bowen, Halo, Autumn, Cameron, Anibelle, Amelia, Jonah, and Noah Helppie; brother, Gregg Martin; nephew, Alex Martin; special cousin, Roseann Kopp.
Lori leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
There will be no funeral services. Arrangements were entrusted to Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, Rossford, Ohio.
