Loretta Durham of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Napoleon, Ohio on November 20, 1914 to Albert and Anna Panning. Upon graduation, she worked for Fetters Insurance Agency in Napoleon. After her marriage to Richard Durham, they moved to Maumee, Ohio. Loretta worked as a legal secretary to attorneys Taylor, Cruey and Kelb until she retired in 1984. Loretta had many friends, as well as her family and extended family. One of her greatest pleasures was giving to others. She was always a caring, loving person to all who knew her, chauffeuring friends who were no longer able to drive and always lending a helping hand where needed. Loretta always found time to serve her church, serving for a time as secretary for the Sunday School and treasurer for Women of the Church, as well as belonging to Naomi Circle. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Maumee for over 65 years. She is survived by her son, Richard Linda Durham, Jr.; sister Donna Bob Wollenschlager; grandchildren, Stacey Phil Gearhart, Angela Durham, Brian Scheer, Jennifer Scheer, Brooke Vanno and great-grandchildren, Skylar and Austen, as well as three nieces, Janet Dave Forney, Sandy Steve Hale and Lori Mark Ryerson and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 Conant, Maumee and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E.
