Loretta Ann Bergmooser

Loretta Ann Pat Bergmooser, age 85, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Alexis Gardens Retirement Community in Toledo. Loretta was born September 29, 1930 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Frederick and Anna Laura (Brunthaver) Heinze. Loretta was a 1948 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family and faith first. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a lector and as a Eucharistic Minister. “Pat” loved traveling, gardening, baking for her friends, sewing, and teaching her many nieces and nephews to swim. She shared her wonderful sense of humor with everyone she met. Loretta is survived by her husband, Glen Bergmooser; children, Deb Allen, Dan (Candice) Shively, Cindy (Don) Carpenter, and Judy (Gene) McNett; grandchildren, David, Donnie, Shelby, Branden, Carrie, Adam, Crystal, and Kristy; 7 great-grandchildren; and brothers, John, Howard, Donald, Thomas, and Richard Heinze. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Daniel Shively; sisters, Lucy, Dorothy, Marjorie, Helen, Margaret Ann, and Mary Catherine; brothers, Chuck and Francis Boots and son-in-law, Donnie Allen. Loretta’s family feels blessed with the loving care that was provided by Heartland Hospice, Senior Helpers, and the staff and family at Alexis Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2016 from 1-3:00pm and 5-7:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) with a Scripture Service at 6:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St. Sylvania, OH 43560 with entombment following at Toledo Memorial Park.
